Historic pool hall, one of the filming locations for the "Color Of Money". I stopped in on a weekday afternoon. Probably half of the tables were in use in the main room by the time I left. The fellow working the counter was helpful, and he and I spent some time talking about the movie. There were a number of skilled shooter there, some playing 3-cushion billiards, others one-pocket and a few playing rotation games. One player had his names stitched on his case, so I looked him up and discovered he's about a 700 Fargo. Pretty sporty. Pocket billiard tables were all 9-foot Diamonds that I could see. I think they were blue label. Cloth on some was looking pretty worn, and the furniture and floors were old and scruffy. My table played fine - rolls and bounces were true. Balls were heavily used but serviceable. House cues were in just OK shape - at least the ones near my table. No alcohol - just pop and snack food. You can bring in beer and wine, apparently.

This place used to be nice but not anymore. Be aware of their credit card scam fees. they will tell you that your bill minimum has to be 15, so they want you to spend more money. Do yourself a favor, bring cash with you to pay with some nickles and dimes or don't come at all

Took my twin 15 year old boys to play pool. Excellent place. People could not have been nicer. Atmosphere was exactly how a "pool hall" should be!

Legendary! Part of The Color of Money was filmed here. My roommates family was getting some group photos taken. Spiro, the owner, was very friendly and happy to rent a table in the back hall for the family photo shoot. The ambience was perfect. I need to make it back here to shoot some billiards soon!

Old school look and feel! Plenty of tables, jukebox available, can order outside food and byob a plus. Tables in good condition and staff friendly. Love it here!

We always have a great time at Chris’s. You get exactly what you plan for. We love that it is BYOB and there are APA specific prices during the week. Plenty of 9 foot tables!

Great place to go play pool and relax specific spot the O.Gs go to play, only down side is the bathroom situation but other than that great service and decent prices

You either move with the times or the times will move you. So it is for the game of pool and pool rooms. When in Chicago, if I have time, I like to drop by Chris’ to pay homage. Usually late at night before going to the Green Mill for the last set.
